At COCOdry, we’re all about embracing our flaws, self acceptance and self love. We need to stop apologizing for the way we look, and most importantly, stop apologizing for being yourself. Instead, say “I am powerful”, “I love the person I’m becoming” and “I accept myself unconditionally”
In conjunction with International Women’s Day, we’re running a campaign called “Real Women, Real Hair”. Just like the title, we’re all about embracing your hair! Curls, straight, frizz, bouncy. EVERYTHING!
Looking into the mirror is different for everyone. What do you see? Do you see a confident woman? Empowered woman? Kind woman? Sometimes, it is not easy to look into the mirror. There is always something negative that goes through your mind when you see yourself in the mirror. But ladies, let me tell you, IT’S TIME TO CHANGE THAT! It is important to see the best reflection of yourself every time you pass a mirror.
Start by doing this exercise. Draw up a list of FIVE things you like most about yourself. Do you find it difficult and very uncomfortable to do so? It’s okay, as long as you’re trying, you’re one step ahead. This is because most of us are not used to this kind of exercise. But this is why it is worth the effort. Remind yourself this; the more the exercise is difficult, the more you need it!
